Troop Size: 29 scouts
Dues: $30 payable upon joining Troop; $100 each Sept. thereafter
Campout Fees: $25 per campout (covers food, campsite fee, gas for pulling Troop trailer)
Troop Meetings: Mondays, 7:00-8:15 p.m., Church of the Incarnation Fellowship Hall
Exceptions: No meetings are generally held the Monday after monthly campouts, summer camp, and holidays
Summer meetings: May be twice a month, or as decided by the Scoutmaster & Troop Committee
Uniform: Class A uniform
Program: BSA Patrol Method; Troop is run by boy-led patrols
Senior Patrol Leader guides Troop & Patrol leaders with Adult mentoring
Advancement: Scout – Tenderfoot – 2nd Class – 1st Class – Star – Life – Eagle
To advance, each scout must:
> Meet requirements for each rank
> Have a Scoutmaster conference
> Have a Board of Review conducted by Troop Committee
* Eagle Scout Board of Review conducted by Conference leadership
Courts of Honor: Recognition ceremonies for scouts to receive advancements & badges
Held three times per year on a Monday night (in lieu of regular meeting)
> Special Court of Honor held for Eagle Scout Ceremony
Merit Badges: Scouts earn merit badges to learn new skills in things he likes to do and try out new activities
Badges are taught by adult Merit Badge Counselors
Camping: Outdoor camping is an integral part of Scouting
Troop camps once per month
Troop provides: Tents, patrol cookware, dining fly, cooking stoves, and lanterns
Scout provides his own camping gear
All Troop campouts and functions have a minimum of BSA-trained 2-deep leadership
Types of activities: rock climbing, caving, canoeing, hiking, etc.
Summer Camp: Troop 331 scouts attend week-long summer camp
Cost: approx. $210 per scout (excl. some merit badge fees) , which may be paid in three installments in Spring
Completed BSA Annual Health form required
High Adventure: To attend, scouts must:
> be age 14 by Jan. 1 of the year attending, or
> have completed the 8th grade by the date of departure

Northern Tier Canoe Base
Completed BSA Annual Health form required

Completed Backpacking Merit Badge required

Transportation: Scout leaders & parents transporting scouts to events must have registered vehicle and provide insurance information to the Troop.
Troop reimburses for fuel used to transport scouts or gear to a campout upon presentation of receipts to the troop Treasurer.
Uniform: Class A uniform
> Khaki Scout Shirt with emblems
> Scout shorts / pants (no jeans)
> Troop neckerchief and slide, belt
Class B Uniform: Troop 331 red knit shirt (purchased from Troop) & jeans
BSA Handbook and 1st neckerchief provided by Troop
Fundraising: Trail’s End Popcorn sales (October)
Fair on the Square (May)
Boston Butt BBQ sale (June orders for July 4)
Parent Participation: Strongly encouraged
BSA Youth Protection Training required
Parents teach Merit Badges and help with transportation
Troop Resource Survey–identifies hobbies, skills and interests that may benefit Troop
